The client

Peppermil Interiors are one of the UK’s leading suppliers of home, bar and restaurant furniture.

When we were originally approached by Peppermill in 2016, they had a WordPress website with no e-commerce facilities and their existing website was not mobile friendly. We completely rebuilt their website in OpenCart and integrated the store with their Sage accounting system (for invoicing and stock control) and eBay, so stock stayed in sync across every marketplace, including in-store purchases. The store has since moved to Shopify, on a custom theme designed and built by Web Optic.

Peppermill began in 1997, when founders Scott and Fiona Humphreys started selling antique furniture from their home. Since 2015 the business has run a two-floor showroom, warehouse and in-house workshop in Burntwood, Staffordshire. In 2025 the founders retired, and John and Amanda Stamp now lead the business.

What we built

We designed and built the store around both sides of the business, with separate Home and Commercial ranges and prices shown both with and without VAT.

Customers can shop by category, from tables, seating and lighting to vintage and outdoor pieces, and find dedicated pages for commercial enquiries, samples and swatches, gift vouchers and the Burntwood showroom. An Our Work section of case studies sits alongside a blog and furniture care guides.
